Hawai'i's America250 Celebration
On July 4, 2026, the United States will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence — a milestone known as America250. Though separated by ocean, Hawai'i stands united with the nation in marking this historic occasion. Throughout 2025 and 2026, communities across the islands will reflect on our shared past, celebrate our diverse heritage, and honor our veterans and ancestors through events grounded in local culture and the Spirit of Aloha. The Hawai'i America250 Commission, supported by our numerous Commemoration Partners, are leading efforts statewide to ensure our islands' voices help shape this national commemoration. America's 250th Birthday Has Arrived!
On July 4, 2026, the United States celebrated 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, a milestone that belongs to all Americans. Hawai'i, as the 50th state, proudly brought its distinct cultural, historical, and geographic perspective to the America 250 commemoration. Our islands' diverse heritage and deep traditions of service, resilience, and Aloha enriched the national story and reminded us that the American experience is as varied and vibrant as the land and people it represents.
